When your customers ask ChatGPT who to hire, does it say your name?

Probably not, and we can show you exactly what it says instead. AI Visibility Partners measures and improves how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews describe, cite, and recommend local service businesses: law firms, dental practices, home services, agencies, and more.

prompt

Who is the best family law attorney in Austin?

answer

Here are some good places to start your search:

  1. Avvo: browse rated Austin family lawyers with client reviews.
  2. FindLaw: search local attorneys by practice area and location.
  3. Yelp: see top-rated law firms near you.

I'd recommend scheduling consultations with two or three attorneys before deciding.

Illustration, not a logged run: three directories cited, not one Austin business named.

What would we ask the engines about your business?

The prompt panel is the first thing an audit fixes, before any answer is read. Put your business, trade, and city in and Exhibit B fills with six of the prompts we would pre-register for you, in the words a customer uses. The answers are not here. They come from three clean-session passes per prompt, and producing them is what the $750 buys.

Nothing you type leaves this page unless you choose to email it to us, and nothing is saved: close or reload the page and the draft is gone.

How do we measure without fooling you, or ourselves?

Procedure · five steps, in order · keep scrolling

1

Pre-registered prompt panel

The exact prompt strings are fixed, and shown to you, before measurement starts. Nothing is comparable if the questions keep changing.

2

Three passes per cell

AI answers vary between runs. Each prompt is run three times fresh, from clean signed-out sessions, and scored "named in k of 3". One flattering answer cannot become a result.

3

Three separate measures

Mention coverage, owned-citation coverage, and third-party-source presence, reported separately. A blended score hides which one moved.

4

A stated noise floor

Movement smaller than the panel's ordinary variance is reported as noise, not progress. The threshold is written down before the re-measure.

5

Publish either way

Re-measurement results are written up whether they flatter us or not. The first Field Note published is an answer that cuts against our own pitch.

What does it cost, and where should you start?

Every full engagement starts with the $750 Baseline Audit, and the audit fee credits toward your first sprint month if you start within 30 days. There is no automatic conversion from one tier to the next; you choose what happens after each step. All prices are published on the pricing page, because buyers ask AI assistants what things cost and an assistant can only answer from pages that state a number.

What do owners ask before they email?

Why does this matter for a local service business?

Hiring a lawyer, a dentist, a contractor, or an agency is a considered purchase, and the research now starts inside an AI assistant as often as in a search box. When a customer asks who to hire, the answer names directories, and the business never learns the question was asked. In the one study that counted, about 78% of independent local-service firms had effectively zero AI citation share (5W PR, 2026, ten US metros). Whether that holds in your market is what the Baseline Audit measures.

How is this different from SEO?

SEO earns a position in a ranked list of links. GEO earns a place inside a written answer that varies from run to run and has no position. The inputs overlap heavily: crawlable pages, direct answers, structured data, consistent listings. The measurement does not overlap at all, which is why we run fixed prompts in clean sessions three times each instead of tracking keywords. The full comparison is on the GEO vs SEO page.

How fast will I see results?

We do not promise a timeline or a number, because no honest vendor in this category can. The engines change without notice and vary between runs. What we do is register the prompt panel before work starts, re-measure it monthly under the same protocol, report movement against a stated noise floor, and publish the result either way, including a month where nothing moved.

Who is behind this?

Austin Brewer, the founder. He runs every audit, re-measurement, and readout himself, and the Method page shows exactly what that involves, step by step.

Sources and scope for every figure are on the Sources page. More on the GEO vs SEO guide.
